Emergency Alert can be used to immediately alert someone when you are in danger or need help via a few rapid presses of the power/sleep button on your device.
You are able to send a text message (including a web link that displays your location) to one or more people, sound an alarm, and (optionally) have the application dial a phone number.

In order to be able to send text message alerts and make phone calls you must have a device that has cellular service and a text messaging plan.
